PODS® CONTINUES SUPPORT OF NEW YORK CITY'S TIMES SQUARE BALL DROP

CLEARWATER, Fla. (December 21, 2018) – PODS Enterprises, LLC announced today that for the ninth year it will support Times Square New Year's Eve with efficiently moving and storing items needed to welcome in the new year during the 2019 Times Square New Year’s Eve Ball Drop celebration. Through using PODS containers on-site, event staff benefit from the flexibility and simplicity of a built-in storage option that includes transportation.

Times Square Alliance works to improve and promote Times Square with its largest event being the New Year's Eve celebration, which it co-produces with Countdown Entertainment. PODS provides the organization with a custom solution to the storage and logistics challenges inherent in an event of this size. This alleviates the staff’s pain points and saves time by moving and storing the tremendous amount of handouts distributed to attendees.

To execute the world-renowned event, inventory is preloaded into PODS portable containers at a local PODS storage facility in Long Island, NY. This year, more than 20 PODS containers will be filled with handouts. The containers are then delivered overnight at various locations in Times Square, using PODS’ level container-lifting PODZILLA® machine. This provides easy access to items for event staff and prevents disruptions to traffic or local businesses. It also ensures the celebration is executed seamlessly and enjoyed by the billions watching around the world and the million who come to Times Square to ring in the New Year.
